Our company invites applications for the position of Manufacturing Plant Planner for our Morristown, TN new Oral Care Focus Factory Facility. The Manufacturing Plant Planner position reports to the Operations Planning Manager and is responsible for developing the daily production schedules in alignment with Customer Service and Operational requirements. In addition, the Plant Planner maintains vendor relations and manages the supply/availability of raw and packaging materials to support the production schedules.
Responsibilities include:
Utilize demand driven processes to determine requirements that balance supply chain resources and inventory to meet the timely fulfillment of customer orders
Establish daily production schedules for production lines generated from demand planning requirements and provide support to remove bottlenecks and capacity constrains
Monitor the APO deployment process to insure that inventory levels remain in balance
Coordinate all activities as pertain to new product launches including interfacing with the Marketing, Technology and Packaging groups
Manage the replenishment process for all materials. Insure that adequate inventory levels are maintained in order to meet production plan requirement and meeting inventory goals.
Maintaining close communication with vendors and sharing information relevant to changes in the business to continue the development of key partnerships.
Insure Customer Service case fill levels of 98.5% are achieved on a consistent basis.
Active participation and contributions on funding the growth initiatives
Participate on the Vendor Continuous Improvement Teams representing the Supply Chain Team
Ability to conduct/facilitate weekly scheduling meetings
Ensuring data integrity of SAP: Bill of Materials, R/3 and APO master data, planned and production orders, purchase orders
Create Management of Change and change control documents and provide appropriated follow-up to activities of planning, execution and closing
New material set up to insure continuous flow of the production process, including receiving and material transfer
Manage material discontinuation to minimize slow movers and obsolete materials
Identify areas of opportunity to drive continuous improvement on the planning process included but not limited to making, finishing and tube production
Maintain an open communication with production areas
Understand and analyze short, medium and long term capacity utilization
Required
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in a degree related field (Supply Chain Management, Logistics, etc)
Minimum 3 years planning, manufacturing and/or logistics experience
Working knowledge of logistics and manufacturing systems
Team oriented with good communication / negotiation skills
SAP Experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
