A Registered Professional Nurse, licensed to practice in the State of Tennessee, who provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, manages personnel, supplies, equipment, and is responsible for the care of assigned patients. Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, interventions, and evaluation. Responsible for performing tasks that are associated with the provision of nursing care of a designated category of patient. Responsible for coordinating the resources of personnel, supplies, and equipment. Responsible for supervising members of the patient care team. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or college/university program. Possesses a current license in the State of Tennessee. Has successfully completed preparation for specialty areas. Abreast of current nursing trends through independent study and continuing education. Knowledgeable of performance improvement techniques/process and able to participate in PI activities.

This is a premium compensation incentive designed to meet Morristown-Hamblen Health System s contingent (OCC/PRN) staffing needs for Registered Nurses. Facility nursing leadership will determine, based on need, the specific departments in which this policy will be activated.
